OUR STORY

Green Chicken was born from family, faith, and a very Miami love story. In 2000, a husband and wife, each bringing their own roots and flavors, came together with a shared dream. He grew up in Jamaica, learning to cook out of necessity from a young age, becoming the quiet force who pushed for a restaurant. She, the heart of the home and the people’s person, became the warm presence guests lovingly call “Mama.” Together, they built a place where home-style cooking, fresh ingredients, and genuine hospitality meet.

Just two months after opening across from FIU, tragedy struck when the FIU bridge collapsed. The couple kept their doors open for first responders, offering bathrooms, coffee, and hot meals. That day crystallized what Green Chicken stands for: show up for your community and serve with love.

HOW WE COOK

We’re a fast-casual, modern comfort food spot with a house-cooked feel. Nothing’s pre-made, and we source ingredients daily, turning back anything that isn’t up to our standards. Veggies are cut fresh, meats prepped each morning, and chicken is marinated the day before so the flavors sink in.

Build your bowl, wrap, salad, quesadilla, or sandwich your way, no paying extra for things you don’t want. Craving more? We’ve expanded beyond chicken, with steaks (skirt, picanha, ribeye, carne asada), pescatarian options, vegan and vegetarian options,  burgers, and hearty favorites.

"When you walk in, you’re home."
